Cabin 2

The fisherman’s classic

Cabin 2 was built in 1948 and retains the rustic charm of a fishing cabin from yesteryear. It was designed by Mettie Carlson, who sketched out dimensions and layout on a piece of paper the night before construction began. Except for the addition of a bathroom and plumbing, the cabin remains largely as Mettie envisioned it more than 70 years ago.

Cabin 2 is our smallest cabin, sleeping up to four people in two bedrooms that are separated from the main room by curtains. The kitchen is compact but fully equipped for northwoods cooking, and the single bathroom has a shower. A main room comprises a dining table and sitting area, and features the cabin’s original hardwood floors and fireplace made of lake stones. It includes a flat-screen TV, internet wifi, and an outdoor grill.
